Finding The Peach Blossom Spring
The five walked along the green hill to find the Peach Blossom Spring. The sky was getting darker, so they sat down and began to camp. Ann, who was the youngest, said, “Maybe we’ll never find the Peach Blossom Spring.” George (a girl) waved her hand, “Never mind. We still have six days.” So they went to sleep.
At the middle of the night, Timmy woke everyone up by barking madly. “What’s the matter, Timmy?” Asked Julian, rolling his eyes. A light was glimmering through a small hole. “It’s cloudy. But why is there a light?” Dick said.
So they got up to see. In the hole was a cave filled with gold coins, sliver bowls, jewels, pearls, rubies, gemstones and crowns. There are also turquoises, copper and emerald. “Golly!” George gasped as she picked up a sapphire. “There must be smugglers!”
Suddenly, a huge crash filled the air. They turned to see what’s happening. The door was closed.
“Oh no!” Dick whispered. “The smugglers must come back. Hide!” They dashed into a room. Ann saw the people who lived in the Peach Blossom Spring were tied up in ropes. Julian loosed them and the people led the five to the exit of the Peach Blossom Spring. It was a small creek. They use a boat to get out. The five let the people go back to their home.
It was dawn when the five came out. Julian went to tell Aunt Fanny what had happened. George and Timmy guarded the camp. After ten minutes, the police came and took away the smugglers.
The Peach Blossom Spring was protected, and the people who lived there danced all day long to celebrate their home’s safety.
