                                                  My Favourite Writer J.K. Rowling

My favourite writer is J.K. Rowling. She was born in England in 1965.

When she was a little girl, she dreamt of being a writer. However, she was very poor and had no jobs. She had a young daughter to take care of. Then, she decided to write some books to make money. She wanted to write Harry Potter. From then on, she sat in a coffee shop and started to work on it until the first book was finished. However, no one would like to put out her story. They just did not believe women could write a magic story. Then she changed her name from Kathleen Rowling to J.K. Rowling. People thought she was a man.

In 1997, someone put out her book. When the first Harry Potter book was put out, it was a huge success. Then, she wrote six more. People liked her books. So she became much much richer than before.

Today, almost everyone knows her books Harry Potter.
