J.K. Rowling was born in England, now about 56 years old. She is famous for a series of fictional books that she wrote, Harry Potter. This series includes seven Harry Potter books.

J.K. Rowling dreamed of being a writer when she was young. She wrote this series to make a little money. At first, no one wanted to sell her book because they thought that girls could not write about magic. So, she changed her name to J.K. Rowling. Finally, someone agreed to put out her book and it was a big hit. Nowadays, everyone has read her books and she is the richest writer in the world.
