                                                                            The Panda

“Like a cat but not a cat, like a bear but not a bear. What do they like eating? They like fresh bamboos!” Can you guess what kind of animal it is? Yes, it is the panda!

Pandas are very cute. Most of pandas are living in Sichuan's bamboo forest now. Their arms, legs and the five senses are black. Their body parts are white. Look at their black eyes. It’s like that they are wearing a pair of cool sunglasses. Let's look at their fat tummy! It seems that they eat a lot of food. Do you think pandas are very cute?

Pandas like many activities. They like rolling on the ground with their friends. Their bodies are often dirty after rolling on the ground. Most of pandas don't like dirty bodies. So they like to take a bath in the pond.

Most of pandas are timid. Once, I was in the zoo. I saw a panda climb to the top of the bamboo with no difficulty. But it couldn't climb down along. Five minutes later, it stood still. At last, a zookeeper came to bring it down. It was so funny.

Usually, they move very slowly, sometimes they move very fast. Once, I saw a panda sleeping by the bamboo. Two minutes later, it woke up, and rubbed its eyes. Then it crawled clumsily to the bamboo beside him. This short journey took him almost ten seconds. I thought this panda's action was as slow as a snail! But, then it climbed up to the bamboo quickly. Its action was as fast as a monkey. I was very surprised.

Pandas' food is very dull. Their food is almost bamboo leaves and bamboo shoots. Sometimes they also eat meat. But it is difficult for them to get meat.

Pandas’ contribution to our country is great. Probably from the 1950s to 1970s, our country shared dozens of pandas with Japan and nine other countries. Similarly, our country also received other country's national treasure. So, pandas are also a symbol of friendship.

Eight million years ago, pandas came to China. This is one of the factors that makes it a notional treasure of our country. Because human beings don't care about the environment, species on Earth are rapidly decreasing and dying out, and there are now fewer than 1600 pandas in the world. So let's take care of pandas, take care of species on our Earth!
