                                                                      Jack and the Magic bean

Once upon a time, there was a little boy called Jack. He lived with his mother. They were very poor. One day, Mom told him, “My dear son , we have no more money. Maybe it’s time to sell our last cow now. Can you help me?” Jack said: “No problem, Mom. Trust me. I can do it well.” Jack took the cow to the market and peddled very loudly again and again. “Pass by and meet he, must not miss it please!” But no one was interested. Time went by. The sun was setting and he felt depressed. He was about to leave when a bearded man came up to him. “Hello, boy! Can I trade you some beans for your cow?” He said in a low-pitched voice. Jack was very happy. “OK, sir.” When he went home with these beans, Mom was angry, “Silly boy! You had lost our last cow!” Then she threw these beans out of the window.

  The next morning, when Jack got up, he was too surprised to close his mouth. Those beans grew into a towering tree. The beans had magic. How amazing! He tried to find out why. He climbed up the magic beans. As he climbed, the tree grew higher and higher. Up on the top of the magic beans, there was a giant. “You are the first person to see me. How did you get up here?” The Giant was glad to see Jack, “If you tell me your secret, I can give you lots of golden beans!” Jack shrugged his shoulders, “Well, I don’t know. Why don’t you give me the golden beans and I’ll tell you what to do.” The Giant agreed. As soon as Jack took the giant’s golden beans, he slipped down the tree. However, the magic beans shrunk at the same time. Poor Giant! No one expected it to turn out like this. Lucky Jack! With these golden beans, Mom and he can have a better life!
