Thoughts on the Reading of The Little Prince

  This summer holiday I read The Little Prince. This book is attractive and unforgettable. The little prince lived on the planet which is called “B612”. This planet is not much bigger than the little prince. He went on a trip when the birds migrated. He visited 7 planets during the trip and, one of which was the earth. On the earth, there were one hundred and eleven kings, seven thousand geographers, nine hundred thousand men, seven million, five hundred thousand tipplers and three hundred and eleven million vain people. Afterwards, he met a fox. At his constant request, the little prince finally subdued him. The little prince had to go back to the start of the earth, where he first touched down, Sahara Dessert. Before leaving, the fox gave him a sentence “Only with your heart you can see what your eyes can’t completely see” as a gift. In the Sahara Desert, the little prince came across a pilot whose plane broke down and had to land there. The pilot and the little prince had a precious friendship. When the little prince left, he was very upset. A rose, who played a significant role in the book, was the little prince’s best friend. She told the little prince she was the only rose in the world and the little prince kept her well. When he went on the trip, he often missed the rose. However, the little prince saw a rose garden, he noticed that the rose lied to him. Under the fox’s guidance, he knew the rose was still unique as he kept her and listened to her talking, laughing and silence. At last, with the help of the snake, the little prince went back to his B612 planet.

On the one hand, the author expresses his dissatisfaction with the conservatism, vanity and deceit of the society and praises the innocence of the little prince. On the other hand, this is a beautiful love story, which tells the true love existed between the rose and the little prince.

To sum up, The Little Prince is a valuable story to read and you will be greatly touched by it.
