I prefer to live in the city

Nowadays,  more and more people prefer living in the city to living in the country. There are also lots of people who were born in the countryside but wants to go to the cities . I prefer to live in the city, but why?

The first reason is that living in the city is convenient. Usually, there’s only one supermarket in a village, so you need to entre the town often. But in the city, you can see stores everywhere, selling a wide variety of things. The traffic is also convenient. Although it’s noisy, you have lots of choices to go to somewhere: bike, cars, buses, taxi, underground…

The second reason is that you can do lots of things in the city. If you’re at home, you can use the internet to surf the net or watch TV. If you are bored, you can go to a park. If you want to study, you can go to the libraries… The city offers lots of public facilities which you can’t find in the countryside.

Last but not the least, It’s safe to live in the city. There are cameras everywhere and lots of police willing to help you. If you are ill, you can buy medicine in pharmacies or get medical assistance at a hospital in time. In the countryside, you need to walk a long way to find a hospital.

To sum up, living in the city is convenient, interesting and safe, so I prefer living in the city to living in the countryside.
