                                  After Reading the Little Prince

“If you please...draw me a sheep!”

“What?!”

“Draw me a sheep!”

This winter holiday, I read the book the little Prince. It was written by a French writer named Antoine de Saint Expéry.

This book told us, the writer’s plane got wrong and landed on the Sahara, then he met the little prince there. The little prince was from Asteriod B-612 which was a very very small planet. There were three tiny volcanoes and a Rose on his small planet. The little prince argued with the Rose and left Asteriod B-612 to explore.

Before he came to the earth, he had met a king, a conceited man, a tippler, a businessman, a lamplighter and an old man on B-325, B-326, B-327, B-328, B-329, B-330. After he came to the Earth, he saw a garden with about five thousand roses. Then, he met a fox, the fox told him what is “tame”--it is to establish ties. The fox also made him understand what is love and responsibility. Finally, he decided to go back to his planet to live with the Rose and become good friends again with her.

I think the little prince is a happy, naive and friendly boy. This is a warm, sincere and moving story. This is a fairy tale with love and responsibility for the grown-ups, and this is also a fable full of life and philosophy.

“If you said to the grown-ups: I saw a beautiful house made of rosy brick, with geranium in the windows and doves on the roof. They would not be attracted by the house at all. You would have to say to them: I saw a house that cost $30,000. Then they would shout Oh, what a beautiful house that is!”

From the eye of the lovely little prince, the writer criticized adults’ shortcomings such as chasing for money only, lack of imagination and empty mind and spirit.

I like the book very much, the little prince’s experience was novel and special, language of this book was also very beautiful. We should keep naive and kind in our life. In the future, I want to be a friendly man with love and responsibility, I want to do my best for my family, for my country and for the world.
