What weaknesses and strengths about our world are being exposed by this pandemic?

The COVID-19 pandemic has been spreading all over the world.

Everything has changed in this period. In some way it has exposed weaknesses such as global economy and in some way it has exposed strengths like online study and online shops during the pandemic.

The weaknesses of the global economy are exposed. The global economy is expected to contract by 3 percent this year as quarantines and lockdowns cripple output.

According to the I.M.F., the global economic contraction from 1929 to 1932 was approximately 10 percent. Advanced economies shrank by 16 percent during that period. The economic recovery is expected to be slow until people are confident shopping safe.

However on the other side, there are many strengths during being shown the pandemic.

Since we couldn't go to school in that period, online study became the only way to study. Although we could only see our teacher in the screen, we could feel the study atmosphere just like at school! The COVID-19 didn't stop our studies.

Online shops became more and more popular. During the pandemic, shops closed but how could we buy enough food and daily items? In that period, many supermarkets opened their online shops. We could stay at home to choose the things we need.

Above all of these, I think there are many strengths and some weaknesses during the pandemic. I hope the weaknesses will soon recover.
