My birthday 六年3班 李政霖
My birthday
六年三班 21号 李政霖
It was a fact. I was always unlucky on my birthday. On my one-year-old birthday, my sister broke her leg so we stayed in the hospital all day. On my four-year-old birthday, my mother left her purse and phone on the plane so we stayed in the police station all day. On my nine-year-old birthday, I went to my mom’s office as soon as the class was finished, but she was so busy that I spent the whole night doing my homework. How long these sad stories were!
This morning, I got up early as usual. Today was my birthday and I was so happy about that. However, I was surprised to hear that everyone wasn’t allowed to leave their house from then on because of COVID-19.
“It’s not fair. Another unlucky birthday! Why me again?” In great disappointment, I caged myself in my room and cried sadly. I couldn’t invite my best friends to my home for my birthday party and it would be another lonely birthday.
Suddenly, I heard message sounds from Wechat. It was my friends who sent me “Happy birthday” on wechat. While we were talking on wechat I heard someone knocking at my door, which turned out to be my family who made cake for me. What a big surprise!
Then we decided to hold a party online--- everyone prepared snacks and drinks on our own and enjoyed ourselves singing and dancing by means of FaceTime. It was a really brilliant experience that I had never had.
Happy birthday to me.
